Dr. Aric Perez

Dr. Aric Perez is proud to continue the legacy of compassionate care at this practice, having recently taken the reins from the esteemed Dr. Bernardo Gonzalez. A Southern California native, Dr. Perez earned his undergraduate degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara before completing his dental training at the University of California, San Francisco, graduating in 2023. His journey through UCSF not only shaped his clinical expertise but also deepened his connection to the vibrant city of San Francisco.

During his time in school and beyond, Dr. Perez fell in love with the energy and diversity of the city—especially the Mission District. Today, he remains committed to serving this community with warmth, integrity, and the highest standard of care. Dr. Perez believes in building strong, lasting relationships with his patients and takes pride in making each visit a positive and comfortable experience.

Outside the office, Dr. Perez is a passionate music enthusiast whose love for music began in childhood band programs and grew into performing in his own rock band. His appreciation for creativity and connection carries over into his dental practice. He’s also a devoted dog lover—be sure to stop by on Fridays to meet our beloved office dog, Benny, who brings joy and tail wags to patients and staff alike.

Dr. Bernardo Gonzalez

Dr. Bernardo D. Gonzalez III founded the 24th Street Dental office in 1985, just two years after graduating from UCSF. While beginning his dental career as a staff dentist for the Marine Engineers, he steadily built the trusted community practice that still stands proudly in the heart of the Mission District. In recognition of his commitment, the practice was honored with the San Francisco Legacy Business Award for over three decades of continuous service.Dr. Gonzalez’s deep connection to the Mission community extended far beyond dentistry. He served on the Board of Directors for the Mission Economic & Development Association and led the Mission Cultural Association as President, advocating for cultural preservation and community empowerment throughout his career.Outside the dental world, Dr. Gonzalez’s passion for music found expression in producing local concerts and events. Inspired by his early experience volunteering for legendary promoter Bill Graham, he eventually managed bands and co-produced events including San Francisco’s Carnaval and the “Voices of Latin Rock” Autism Awareness Benefit Concerts—dedicated to his son, Alex. Through these efforts, he founded the Alex Speaks Foundation, supporting Bay Area schools working with neurodivergence and leaving a legacy of both care and creativity.
